Please use following guideline to create a Skin for GAlert, this demo uses existing GAlert Skin "Note" as a demo. If you have questions, you can ask our skin design support personnel by using following email address:

Step #1: Design and Create your skin background image by using image-editing software (eg: Photo shop or Paint Shop, etc). Currently GAlert only support the skin background image either rectangle or rectangle with rounded corner, also one skin can only have single skin background image as BMP format.

Step #2: After your GAlert skin background image is created, you need to save it as *.BMP file format. Then open your GAlert Skin Creator (Download Here) and get ready to create your first skin for GAlert by click on the "New..." button.

Step #3:

• Fill in the basic Skin information (Skin Name, Author...).
• To add skin colors, you need to adjust the Color Horizontal slider bar and type a name for each color you want user to have by clicking the "Add" button. Note: meaningful color name is preferred, Color #1/2/3 used here is only for demo purpose
• If your skin background image has rounded corner, you need to fill in the Round Width and Round Height in Bitmap Frame group
• In both Buttons and Texts group, you can see the L:, T:, R:, B: they each correspond to Left, Top, Right and Bottom. The unit of these values are in Pixels, which you can easily get them from your image-editing software. By click on the "Font..." button, you can choose different fonts for your Skin texts.

Step #4: After you fill in all the Skin information, click on the Create Skin button to create and save a GAlert Skin format. To see if you skin works properly, you can open your GAlert and go to "Options"->"Theme" and install the skin you just created. Double check make sure your Buttons and Texts on the right position. Contine to do Step #3 and Step #4 until your skin works properly.

Step #5: Your nice skin is now created, you can now publish your skin at "Submit Skin".
